In this engaging evening lecture for Christian students in Kristiansand (Norway), world-famous evangelical theologian and writer Alister McGrath explores how the Christian faith makes unique sense of life. The lecture focus on the significance of friendships, of having a travelling companion and of sharing one’s life story with friends. McGrath illustrated this with illustrations from his own life story, including the significant influence of Christian friends during his student days in Oxford and the key role of C.S. Lewis as his travelling companion throughout life. Alister McGrath is Emeritus Andreas Idreos Professor of Science and Religion at Oxford University. He was the keynote speaker at the Veritas Conference 2023. The evening lecture was held on Thursday 19th October 2023 at NLM Misjonshuset Church, an event co-sponsored by NKSS (Norwegian IFES) and NLA University College. The video recording of this guest lecture is published at the Damaris Norway YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/TwDcprlvxDs
